VE Day 2020 - Design Your Own Bunting

This Friday, 8th May 2020, is the 75th anniversary of VE Day, a day which celebrates the end of the Second World War in Europe. This momentous event in history marked the end of a war that cost millions of lives and caused huge destruction. Street parties followed, with colourful bunting and flags lining the streets, people singing and dancing across Britain!
To show our appreciation and pay tribute to those who fought for us and took part in the war effort, I would like you to design your own decorative bunting. You can be as creative as you like – bold colours, inspiring messages and a dedication to the 75th anniversary. I’ve attached a template to help.

Once you have finished, take a picture of your bunting and send it to wordenwonders@wordenacademy.co.uk.
You can also keep your bunting safe and we can create our own Worden bunting dedicated to VE Day when we return to school. I look forward to seeing your designs!
VE Day marks a time were people came together to help each other, similar to what we are doing right now. I know that you are all trying your best with working from home so keep it up and keep smiling!
