Academy @ Worden supports Children in Need 2020!
12/11/2020

This will take place this week on Friday 13th November and the theme is based around children 'coming as themselves' so therefore we have asked pupils to wear a t-shirt they enjoy wearing to go under their blazer. Pupils will also be working on activities in form groups on Friday and during the coming weeks, which promote discussions around children's mental health.

Rather than monetary donations, we would like to take the opportunity to ask for food donations to support our local food banks and families who need it. If you can donate, please send in your items and we will ensure they are delivered to our local food bank and to the families who will benefit from your generosity.

Food and items to send in include:

Cereal, Tinned tomatoes/ pasta sauce beans, Tinned meat/veg/fruit, Tea/coffee, Biscuits, UHT milk, Fruit juice, Fresh fruit, Toiletries, Nappies/baby wipes, Baby milk, Baby food jars, Items for packed lunches, Spreads, Eggs & Snack bars or similar which will all help towards supporting our local community.

We hope that as a school, Worden can promote the key message that BBC's Children in Need is sending out this year, which is to promote and support children's mental health. In addition, we hope that you can help us support our local community and families who require this during such a difficult time.
