Following the excellent response to the food bank item donation Academy@Worden took the opportunity to further support another local charity in Leyland.
Tippy Toes Baby Bank is a local charity that supports families with essential items that they are struggling to provide. They get around a minimum of 90 referrals each month. These are referrals ranging from a small amount i.e., a tub of formula milk, a bundle of nappies and wipes, all the way up to big bundles of starter kits, which include everything you need for a new baby, even including a pram! All the work they do is possible due to the generosity of the public, from donations and fundraising.
We had a fantastic response from parents, pupils, and staff.
