Worden pupil wins place on the American Football Programme

Andrew Carr, now in year 11, has found out he has been offered a place on the American Football Programme at SGS in Bristol.
Andrew has been playing the sport for 11 years now and is really excited to make the move to Bristol in September. He will attend the Bristol Academy of Sport.
As well as his academic studies he will receive up to 16 hours per week training through a combination of field, class and gym work from the American Football Academy. He will also compete in fixtures regularly throughout the academic year, both domestically against university sides and internationally against European club sides as well as touring with American and Canadian high school teams. Andrew then hopes to gain a scholarship to study and play football in the USA at NCAA Divisional College.
