Rock FM Academy Media Workshop

Three students from year 9 and 10 attended a special workshop at the Rock FM studios in Preston as part of an
exciting media project in partnership with The Lancashire Police and Crime Commissioner, The Bauer Academy, and the team at Rock FM.
The students worked with media professionals, learning how the news team operates and also had the chance to
develop their digital skills by creating content that can be shared on social media platforms in the future. Topics included Healthy Relationships, Peer Pressure and Sexting.
The team did a fantastic job and the resources they have created are brilliant. These materials will hopefully help other young people across the county. The Commissioner was really impressed with the work they have created and how open they have been about their experiences as part of the day.
